Donnakie IPhone 6 Armband Review

For the past few months I've been cleaning my Mamaw's house for a little extra money, and I always think it would be nice to have some music while I clean.  So when I saw the Donnakie was wanting reviews for their iPhone 6 Armband, I quickly applied.

This armband has it's good points, but it also has some points that I am not too fond of.

Pros: I got the iPhone 6 size because I use a bulky case on my iPhone 5c and I've had issues with it fitting in other products.  The phone fit wonderfully.  I was still able to use my phone through the clear plastic, which was super nice. The Neoprene was really comfortable, and I could tell that if I sweated, it would wick away the moisture.

Cons: I have to say I am a plus size gal. I have large upper arms. I would prefer to wear this arm band on my upper arm, but it does not fit... at all... There is like an inch gap to even get the band through the hole to velcro it on.  I can wear it on my forearm, but that is uncomfortable and looks strange.  Even if I was using the iPhone 6 in it, I still don't think it would work for me.

Overall, I feel that if you have super skinny arms this would work great for you.  However, if you have large biceps, you are going to be out of luck, and maybe you should look for something else.

If you are one of the skinny arm people, and would like to purchase an iPhone 6 armband from Donnakie, you can do so on Amazon. There are several different options, and right now the cheapest one is like $7 and comes with a very basic iPhone 6 case.

Alternatives
Liztek carries wide variety of graphics display adaptor, Search Amazon for other Liztek VGA, DVI and HDMI display adapters

Box Contents
1* USB VGA Display Adaptor, 1 * USB Cable, 1 * Driver CD, 1 Quick Start Guide

The main focus for this adapter is for people that need an extra monitor such as people in the profession of accounting/finance, information technology, etc. This allows you to use another display monitor with your computer.

I personally tested it on two different computers: a MacBook Pro, and a Acer Aspire 5553G dual boot (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux)

One factor that is important to consider is that the software comes on a small disc, so laptops with the slot feed drive will need to use an extra reader to obtain the software. For my Macbook Pro I copied it onto a flash drive so that I could install it.

Another factor of concern is that the software is not very well developed. The lack of instructions makes it less than ideal. The software is also not verified so your antivirus software might through a precaution against using it. I ran several antivirus & antimalware programs prior to running the programs on my computer, and no malware or viruses were detected.

The device however does work as promised, The connection are very secured through DVI, HDMI, & VGA.

To accurately test the device I ran a benchmark program on both my computer without using the adapter:

----------------

Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0

FPS:
15.1
Score:
381
Min FPS:
11.5
Max FPS:

And with using the adapter:

Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0

FPS:
14.5
Score:
366
Min FPS:
8.4
Max FPS:
23.7
System

----------------

It is noticeable that the adapter does not perform as well as the computer (a score of 381 vs 366), however it is not really designed to. But the overall scores are not much different considering the display is being sent through USB 2.0. If you want the same thing with better performance they do make an adapter that is USB 3.0 which is considerably faster, which should work great with a USB 3.0 compatible computer.  It has a very small form factor, and therefore it also gets very hot after intense use such as multiple benchmarks. Since it is small you should make sure that it gets plenty of room to breath, it is generally easy for a device like this to get covered in papers or other items. I would also recommend unplugging it when its not being used and stored it properly so the connections do not get damaged.

Again, this is NOT intended for people that are gamers or graphic designers. This is perfect for someone that is traveling and needs to hook their computer up to an additional monitor, or if their computer does not have a functioning displayport.

If you would like to purchase a Liztek USB 2.0 Display Adapter, you can do so on Amazon,  At the time of this review, the adapter will cost you about $46.  Not bad price if you ask me.

I got this product free in exchange for a review.  I was in no way paid for my opinion, and all words/opinions expressed here are my own.

Health Gurus Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor Review #greatergoods

My family has been plauged by high blood pressure as long as I can remember, so now that I am getting old..ok I'm 30, but it starts young in my family, I've decided to start keeping an eye on my blood pressure.

The Health Gurus Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is really easy to use and really really fast.  The arm cuff was really easy to put on and understand how to use.  I loved that it actually fit my arm.  In the past, I've had trouble with monitors that are like this one.  Even in the doctor's office, the monitors will not give me a reading, and it has to be taken manually  With the Heal Gurus monitor, I had no issues. It worked great the first time.

I also love that everything fits nicely in it's little black carrying case. If you are interested in purchasing your very own monitor, you can get them on Amazon.  The Health Gurus monitors will cost you between $40 and $80 (depending on if they are running a promotion), and it is Prime eligible Very well worth the cost in my opinion.

Sticky Suction Car Mount by iGotTech Review

Years ago, I got a Sony GPS.  Loved it!  It had this really awesome mount that had sticky stuff on the suction cup, so I could mount it on the dashboard with no problems. Recently, the sticky stuff on the suction cup has started to lose it's stickiness... ah sad day... Anyway, I started searching for alternatives, and found the Sticky Suction Stand from iGot Tech.

This stand, is not quite what I expected.  It has the normal suction cup on the bottom, and the part where you put the device is sticky. I wasn't able to put it on the dash where I normally put the GPS, but it worked fine on the windshield.
It works great for my GPS.  I've not had any issues with it falling off or getting in the way.  It was really easy to adjust.

And... if I ever have to get rid of my GPS, I can put my sunglasses there or my cell phone (or even switch out the two).

Overall, this is a really great suction cup mount.  The sticky part is a huge plus, and was so easy to use.

If you are interested in purchasing your own, you can find them on Amazon at the following link http://www.amazon.com/Cell-Phone-Holder-Smartphone-Accessories/dp/B00LETVK8W.  For under $20, I don't think I could have found anything better.

Apple Certified 6 Feet Lightning Cable Review

The Apple Certified lighting Cable by Accessorise Your Life is a 6ft long cable that will work with any apple device that takes the 8-Pin Lightning cables.  I personally like this cable because it allows me to be able to plug my iPhone 5c and iPad mini in and still use them.  With the old cable, it wasn't long enough to reach to where I normally sit, and now I can use my phone and be comfortable too.

This cable also works with syncing your compatable Apple devices.

Review: #1 Glucosamine - Chondroitin - MSM Supplement - Joint Support. The BEST Joint Supplement. 240 Capsules - MORE than 1000 mg per Serving.

This a a supplemental medicine used to help support your joints. As with anything medicinal it is best to consult with an expert before adding to to your routine. However this type of supplement is considered generally as safe and is used for people as well as animals.

With this supplement you are encouraged to take three capsules on a regular basis after food. For most people that I have talked with the earliest you are going to see real results from this kind of supplement is generally after a week of taking them on a regular basis. The import part is to let it help build up in your system and continue to exercise and stretch your muscles and joints as recommended by a professional.

The thing I like best about the Glucosamine supplement from Number One Nutrition is that it comes in capsule form that is filled with powder, this allows it to be absorbed by your body quicker than a tablet. I noticed that if I forget to take the Glucosamine this way it is not very difficult to get the safe effect after resuming the dosage. This should also make it easier to make the effects of the supplement appear sooner than if it was in the tablet form. I personally can not state that it helped right away, but it was just as effective.

Another personal thing that I like is that the bottle states that it was “Made in USA” that is something that I enjoy seeing, because I know a lot of companies like to import the supplements into the United States and they are usually a lot less effective.

The biggest thing that should notice after taking this supplement is that the level of stiffness has went down. That also goes in with the stretching so that the supplement can work as best as possible. Using this type of supplement is designed to help you stay active or become more active.

I personally recommend to friends and family to take glucosamine supplements. And I think that the supplement from Number One Nutrition would be a great start someone looking to add a glucosamine supplement to their regimen.

Garlic Press Review

My family and I LOVE garlic, I mean really LOVE.  We use a ton of it.  So a few years back when I saw my first garlic press I knew I had to have one.

The one I wanted was about $20, so I went and got a cheap one at a discount store like the one above.  I liked it ok.  Every time I used it I  was afraid it would break because parts of it were plastic.

I was so happy when Orblue allowed me to do a review on their garlic press because it's made out of all metal!

The Orblue garlic press makes using garlic so much easier.  I was able to use it with peeled and unpeeled garlic.

The only thing I was it came with is a cleaning brush to help with clean up.  It can be put in the dishwasher or cleaned by hand, but a bush would just speed things up a little.

If you are interested in purchasing your very own garlic press, you can get it on Amazon.  Last I looked, the Orblue Garlic press was the #1 best seller (9/11//14), and at around $16 you can't get any better!  Here is the link for the press on Amazon: http://amzn.com/B00HHLNRVE
