FragranceNet.com Giveaway

My SweepsBes City's

Holiday Gift Guide & Giveaway 2013

Sponsored by....

Disclosure: I received a free product for review purposes. The opinions I have shared are honest, and my own.

Just a few days ago I received a 1.7 FL oz bottle of Vera Wang's eau de parfum spray from FragranceNet.com to review, and I was very excited to to receive it. I had sprayed a sample of it on me while sing in Macy's Department Store, but that was over a year ago, and I had forgotten how it smelled.

Vera Wang's eau de Parfum has a very light, but long lasting fragrance. It's very noticeable, yet it's not over powering.  I have warn perfumes in the past that were so strong,  you could smell me coming from a half a block away. I had this happen to me a few years ago when on my way to do some shopping. When I arrived near the front of the store a guy said to me, "Ma'am I smelled your perfume way before you got here!" Lol That gengentleman didn't seem to mind the loudness of my purfume very much, but what he said stuck with me.  I have also had the very opposite to happen, when I've spent a nice piece of change on a major brand name item,  and not get one compliment. Needless to say when that happens I never purchase that particular product again.  This was not the case with Vera Wang's eau de parfum however.  It has a lovely delicate scent that still manages to make its presence known, but in a very suttle way.

I highly recommend FragranceNet.com for the excellent deals they offer on their website. They sell brand name products, but for a nominal price. They also offer special money saving coupons which are made available to you directly on their website. This makes it more convenient for you to complete your Holiday shopping. It also allows you to score some fantastic deals in the process. Please do consider them when online for your Holiday gift shopping needs.  I also recommend Vera Wang's eau de parfum to any one in the market for a new fragrance. It will make a great gift for yourself,  your friends, and family members as well. If you are interested in purchasing a bottle of Vera Wang's eau de parfum then you can find it HERE!

My Review on isABelt and a Giveaway

(Via the isABelt website)
isABeltORIGINAL ® - NOW ONE SIZE(Fits size 0 up to 50+ “) and FLAT MAGNETIC CLASP… The MUST HAVE Fashion “fix-it” accessory, this thin, strong and flexible clear plastic belt virtually disappears when worn and provides you with the assurance that all is secure without even knowing it’s there.  IsABelt prevents back gap, slippage and of course, belt bulk and belt bulge. The isABelt solves all of these fashion issues and many more. Available in clear and black. - See more at: http://isabelt.com/isabelt-shop/featured/isabeltoriginal-one-size/#sthash.12uiJAgD.dpuf

Now, let me tell you what I think
When I do reviews, I vow to give you my honest opinion about any product, and that is what I am going to do with this one.  I have really struggled with this, because I personally do not like the isABelt

I am a plus size woman, upon agreeing to review the isABelt, I was told it was slimming, that it would help with any back gap and slippage of pants. I personally could not get the belt to work for me. While it was not at it's largest setting, it was close, and it did not have any sort of slimming effect. I kept having to pull up my pants, while wearing isAbelt, which makes it pretty much pointless.

Upon asking my family what they thought, they all said that the belt looked very cheap and either looked like a clear bra strap or packaging material.  My sister (and co-author of this blog) did try it on as well, and she did have a little more success.  She said she did feel like the belt was keeping her pants from slipping as much.  However, she agreed with me that the belt did nothing as far as a slimming effect.

Once again, this is my honest opinion.  I really do wish I could have writing a completely positive review, but that has not been my experience with the isABelt

If you are still interested in trying the isABelt, I would suggest that you try and win one for yourself. They have offered to let me giveaway one to a reader. You can enter in the form below.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers, this just happens not to be one of them.

Order Out of Chaos® Academic Planner Review

This Review was also published on Baby Marohn.
Also posted on When I was in elementary school, our school started providing us with planners that we could write homework due dates, school events, tests dates, and help us start keeping a schedule of our daily lives.  I didn't understand then, why an academic planner was any use, and it was so annoying to me because it had to be signed by a parent every night.  By the time I was in high school, the school system I was in had done away with them all together, and my study habits were a complete mess.

I was so glad to see that the academic planners were coming back, and now even easier to use.  My favorite planner was developed by Leslie Josel and Order Out of Chaos®

Leslie is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and an expert in chronic disorganization so, she know a thing or two about how to keep people organized.

The front of the organizer is a nice laminated thick card stock paper.

The first page you see when you open up the Academic Planner is a sheet for the information of the person the organizer belongs to.

The next page in the 2013-2014 planner is the August calender.  This page is a little different, because that is the last page that is a full page.  On the left hand side of this page there is a column that has places where you can pencil in your class schedule, and there are is times for after school activities.

I would definitely use pencil in that left hand column because you use that same column all year long. As you can see in the photo below it is the same column.

Next, you can see that you have the subject column on the left hand side, but then you have columns for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and so on across the page.  Each day there are blocks for each subject where you can write in, and then smaller blocks for after school activities.  I don't know if you can see by my terrible photos, but the days also have the date beside them.

The last page in the book is really nice.  It is a plastic pocket so your student can keep important papers for parents or maybe something that is important to them.

I really like these academic planners, and they are so much better than what we had in school.

If you would like to get one of these amazing planners for your little (or big) kid you can do so on Order Out of Chaos' website here: http://orderoochaos.com/shopproducts#!/~/product/category=5059090&id=21117059
They come in four different colors: Blue Kaleidoscope, White Out, Grey Stripes (like mine pictured above), and Bright Waves (which is currently sold out). The planner is normally $19.99 but is on sale right now for $15, and I feel that this is a very good investment for your student.

I want to thank Order Out of Chaos for providing me with one of their Academic Planners free of charge.  Even though, they provided me with a free product, these opinions are 100% my own, and I was in no way compensated monetarily for this review.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
