Here is the some of the important information about the Liztek USB 2.0 Display Adapter on Amazon.com:

32 and 64 bit supported for Win7,8, and 8.1.
Windows 8.1/8/7/XP drivers installed automatically via Windows Update.
Not compatible with ARM-based Windows (MS Surface RT), Mac 10.9 "Mavericks".
Win 8 Metro DRM apps for video play back (such as Netflix, Hulu) do not work in the presence of DisplayLink drivers. GPU is used for 2D/3D rendering on Windows, requiring Intel, nVidia, or ATI primary WDDM driver with Aero enabled. Open source available for Linux and other platforms. Linux requires manual configuration--for advanced users only. USB graphics devices with drivers from different chipset vendors (MCT, SMSC, DisplayLink, etc.) should not be mixed on the same system.

The main focus for this adapter is for people that need an extra monitor such as people in the profession of accounting/finance, information technology, etc. This allows you to use another display monitor with your computer.

I personally tested it on two different computers: a MacBook Pro, and a Acer Aspire 5553G dual boot (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux)

One factor that is important to consider is that the software comes on a small disc, so laptops with the slot feed drive will need to use an extra reader to obtain the software. For my Macbook Pro I copied it onto a flash drive so that I could install it.

Another factor of concern is that the software is not very well developed. The lack of instructions makes it less than ideal. The software is also not verified so your antivirus software might through a precaution against using it. I ran several antivirus & antimalware programs prior to running the programs on my computer, and no malware or viruses were detected.

The device however does work as promised, The connection are very secured through DVI, HDMI, & VGA.

To accurately test the device I ran a benchmark program on both my computer without using the adapter:

Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0

It is noticeable that the adapter does not perform as well as the computer (a score of 381 vs 366), however it is not really designed to. But the overall scores are not much different considering the display is being sent through USB 2.0. If you want the same thing with better performance they do make an adapter that is USB 3.0 which is considerably faster, which should work great with a USB 3.0 compatible computer.  It has a very small form factor, and therefore it also gets very hot after intense use such as multiple benchmarks. Since it is small you should make sure that it gets plenty of room to breath, it is generally easy for a device like this to get covered in papers or other items. I would also recommend unplugging it when its not being used and stored it properly so the connections do not get damaged.

Again, this is NOT intended for people that are gamers or graphic designers. This is perfect for someone that is traveling and needs to hook their computer up to an additional monitor, or if their computer does not have a functioning displayport.

If you would like to purchase a Liztek USB 2.0 Display Adapter, you can do so on Amazon,  At the time of this review, the adapter will cost you about $46.  Not bad price if you ask me.

I got this product free in exchange for a review.  I was in no way paid for my opinion, and all words/opinions expressed here are my own.
